Theis paper analyzes the role of p-toluenesulfonic acid (p-TsOH) in the treatment of chronic ulcers, highlighting its ability to remove bacterial biofilm and promote wound healing.
Clinical and experimental studies show that topical application of p-TsOH is effective and safe, with minimal and transient side effects, especially when used according to validated protocols.
Despite the promising results, the document emphasizes the need for further research and controlled trials to confirm the role of p-TsOH compared to other debridement strategies.
