📘 Author Guidelines for Manuscript Submission to MSABP

Magna Scientia Advanced Biology and Pharmacy Journal (MSABP) welcomes original, high-quality manuscripts from researchers, academicians, scientists, and professionals in the fields of biology, pharmacy, and allied sciences. These author guidelines are designed to help contributors prepare their manuscripts according to the journal’s editorial standards, ethical policies, and publication requirements.

Authors are advised to read these instructions carefully before submission to support smooth editorial handling, faster peer review, and timely publication.

🎯 Aim and Scope

MSABP is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to publishing quality research in Biology, Pharmacy, Health Science, Nursing, and allied scientific disciplines. The journal accepts original and significant contributions in both experimental and theoretical areas that advance knowledge and support scientific development.

Manuscripts submitted to MSABP must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal or publishing platform. All submissions undergo peer review, and accepted papers are published online after successful completion of the editorial and production process.

There is no submission fee. Article Processing Charges (APC) are payable only after acceptance of the manuscript.

📝 Types of Manuscripts Accepted

MSABP considers the following categories of submissions:

📏 Recommended Length

To maintain clarity, quality, and readability, authors are encouraged to present their work concisely.

• Research Articles and Review Articles: up to 20 pages, including references, tables, and figures
• Mini Reviews, Short Communications, and Case Studies: up to 10 pages, with a maximum of 5 tables and/or figures
• Letters to the Editor: 2 to 3 pages, with up to 10 references

Manuscripts should generally use 12 pt font size and 1.5 line spacing.

📄 General Formatting Requirements

Manuscripts must be prepared in a clear, professional, and consistent format using the following specifications:

• Paper size: A4
• Margins: 1 inch on all sides
• Font: Times New Roman
• Font size: 12 pt
• Line spacing: 1.5
• Text alignment: Justified
• Page numbering: Bottom right
• Line numbering: Continuous throughout the manuscript
• File format: Microsoft Word

📂 Manuscript Organization

1. Title Page

The title page should include:

• A concise and informative title in sentence case
• Full names of all authors
• Institutional affiliations with full address and country
• Superscripts linking authors with affiliations where needed
• Identification of the corresponding author with an asterisk (*)
• Complete correspondence details, including email address
• Email addresses of all co-authors

2. Abstract and Keywords

Each manuscript must include an abstract of up to 250 words. The abstract should briefly describe the purpose of the study, methodology, principal findings, and main conclusion. It should be self-contained and should not contain citations.

Authors should provide 4 to 6 keywords immediately after the abstract to improve discoverability and indexing.

3. Graphical Abstract (Optional)

Authors may submit a graphical abstract that clearly presents the central theme or findings of the manuscript. Where provided, it should be legible and submitted in image or editable office format.

4. Introduction

The introduction should explain the background, context, and objective of the study. It should clearly define the research problem, need, or hypothesis without unnecessary literature repetition.

5. Materials and Methods

This section should describe the study design, materials, methods, instruments, and analytical procedures in sufficient detail to allow replication. Sources of specialized materials, reagents, or chemicals should be mentioned where necessary.

For studies involving human participants, animals, patient samples, or sensitive data, authors must provide details of ethical approval and informed consent where applicable.

6. Results and Discussion

Results should be presented clearly and logically using text, tables, and figures where necessary. The discussion should explain the importance of the findings, compare them with relevant literature, and highlight their scientific significance. Authors may present Results and Discussion as separate sections or combine them where appropriate.

7. Conclusion

The conclusion should summarize the main findings and their importance. It should be concise and should not simply repeat the abstract.

8. Acknowledgements

Authors may acknowledge funding bodies, institutions, supervisors, technical support, or any relevant contributions before the reference section.

9. Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, personal, academic, or professional conflict of interest that could influence the work. If no conflict exists, authors should clearly state that there is no conflict of interest.

10. Ethical Statements

Where applicable, manuscripts must include ethical approval statements and informed consent statements. If ethical approval is not required, authors should indicate this clearly.

11. References

MSABP follows the Vancouver referencing style. References should be cited in the text using numbers in square brackets and listed in the reference section in the same order in which they appear in the manuscript.

The reference list should not be arranged alphabetically. Authors must ensure that all references are complete, accurate, and consistently formatted.

⚖️ Ethical and Publication Standards

Authors submitting to MSABP are expected to follow accepted standards of publication ethics. Manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism, fabricated data, manipulated images, duplicate submission, and unethical research conduct.

Where required, studies involving humans or animals must have approval from the appropriate ethics committee or institutional review board. Authors are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions and consents prior to submission.

🔬 Abbreviations, Units, Tables, and Figures

• Use standard abbreviations only
• Define non-standard abbreviations at first mention
• Use SI units throughout the manuscript
• Express temperature in °C
• Place tables and figures close to the relevant text where possible
• Avoid duplication of the same data in text, tables, and figures
• Figures should be clear and of good quality, preferably 300 dpi or higher
• Figure captions should be placed below the figure
• Color figures may be accepted without additional charge

🔍 Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to MSABP undergo initial editorial screening followed by peer review. The review process is intended to assess originality, scientific merit, relevance, clarity, and overall academic quality.

Authors are informed of the editorial decision after completion of the peer review process. Accepted papers proceed to final production and online publication.

• Proofs may be sent to the corresponding author before final publication
• Only necessary corrections should be made at the proof stage
• The final article will be published online after completion of production
• Published articles remain openly accessible to readers worldwide
